About $2000, mostly in gold, was found saved up in Mrs. Fahlenkamp's clothing when she was searched by the police matron.

MOURNED DEAD SON IN SECRET
Woman Finally Determined to Bury Body in Cellar.
DAVENPORT, Ia., April 10.---After having mourned in secret for more that a week over the dead body of her son Albert, Mrs. Wilhelmina Fahlenkamp attempted today to buy a coffin without telling the undertaker what it was for.
An investigation by the coroner found the body so badly decomposed as to be almost unrecognizable. The woman is under investigation as to her sanity.
About $2000 mostly in gold was found sewed up in Mrs. Fahlenkamp's clothing when she was searched by the police matron.
When the body of young Fahlenkamp was found, it was covered with mustard plasters. A grave had been made in the cellar of the home. It is believed the woman intended to bury the body.
"I knew my son was alive because bubbles came from him[sic] mouth," Mrs. Fahlenkamp told the police. This was the result of decomposition, according to the coroner.
