BODY OF COOKSON FOUND BY INDIANS IN SECRIST LAKE

Warsaw, Ind., Aug. 28.--(AP)--An autopsy performed today on the body of Joseph E. Cookson, of Chicago, disclosed that he died of a heart attack before he fell into Lake Secrist near here twelve days ago. It is believed that he was stricken while standing in a boat and fell overboard as he died.

Warsaw, Ind., Aug. 23.--(AP)--After being submerged in fifty feet of water in Secrist Lake, near here, for eleven days, the body of Joseph Cookson, 46, official of the Container corporation of Chicago, was recovered late yesterday by two Indians from Minnesota who make a business of retrieving bodies.

All efforts of local officers and recruits to find the body had been fruitless. The two Indians, named Jeremy, who refused to reveal the method by which they work, started a search for the body three hours later. The lake had been dynamited so much that many fish were killed.

An autopsy is to be held on the body today after which it will be shipped to Anderson, Ind., Cookson's former home. Burial will be held at Anderson Sunday. The widow and two daughters survive.

Cookson was formerly connected with the Mid-West Box company of Kokomo, and spent much time here for a few years. He was particularly well known in Kokomo industrial and financial circles.
